A love letter to Milan through the eyes of Russ Pope (b. 1970, USA), whose characteristic style of illustration finds a new light in conveying the bustle, motion, and elegance of Milan, a city close to his heart.
In partnership with Type 7 and ERG Media, Pope created a panoramic composition of the city, spanning its most iconic haunts and characters, infused with his trademark wit and impressionistic linework inspired by his childhood immersion in skateboarding and counterculture.
The work was first featured as a unique touch in the Type 7 Guide to Milan, published in 2024 by ERG Media , and now presented in association with Type 7 and Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea. The exhibition encompasses a supergraphic of the work Milano, Salone 2024 by Pope, as well as a rare insight into Pope’s artistic process, including the original drafts of composition.

The exhibition continues downstairs, where the the city and its many complexities are rendered once again in focus by the following artists:

Andrea Salvino
Anthony Ausgang
Fred Stonehouse
Marco Cingolani
Massimo Giacon
Matteo Guarnaccia

Each representing, through their own unique approaches, the radical socio-cultural transformations and transgressive experimentations which were key to the revitalisation and revolutionary art of Milan in the 20th and 21st Centuries.

A limited edition silkscreen print of Milano, Salone 2024 by Russ Pope will be available for the occasion.
